Oasis : Their Breakthrough Year
Oasis - Book - by Paul Slattery
(2025)
A collection of photos of Oasis taken on the road during their breakthrough year published to coincide with the band's long-awaited reunion.
At the beginning of 1994 Oasis were unknown, though signed to Creation Records. Things changed with the release of their album 'Definitely Maybe', which became the fastest selling British debut album at the time. That year was one of meteoric change, with Liam and Noel Gallagher setting off on a major tour.
Oasis: Their Breakthrough Year is an evocative collection of photos of Oasis taken during that time. Rock photographer Paul Slattery was with the band throughout the year, having been tipped off to the band’s potential by producer Mark Coyle, who played Paul early versions of 'Definitely Maybe' when the band where still in the studio.
Oasis Their Breakthrough Year combines photos from on and off stage, with their gigs throughout the year ranging from sparsely attended shows around the UK to sold-out performances in the U.S. and Japan.
